Millennium Plastics (Pty)Ltd is continuously setting new standards within the industry. Taking on new projects that might be to big for other Injection Moulders.
The Background
We were approached by one of our biggest customers with a previously Vacuum Form Moulded component, with the intent of having it Plastic Injection Moulded. They partnered with us to have the component, which works within a Pool Table, injection moulded. Below the original Vacuum Form Moulded product can be seen.
To the drawing board...
Millennium Plastics stayed in close contact with its customer as we finalised the design and made it better. We changed the design of the component as to ensure functionality and injection moulding capabilities.
Prototyping...
After the design was finalised we went on to furnish our customer with two prototypes, one made from medium-density fiberboard which we then went on to 3D Print. We at Millennium Plastics believe that having a physical prototype to hand the customer ensure that both the customer and us are on the same page. We are also able to test the design with various conditions.
Engineering the Mould
Our Toolroom was put to work to making a piece of steel into something easily recognisable and into something closely resembling the final design. Our technical experts were making all the right turns and twists using our state of the art toolroom to full capability, The results of their hard work and capabilities can be appreciated below.
