Tooling control close to production

In-House Toolroom

Our toolroom gives Millennium Plastics direct control over one of the biggest drivers of production success: the mould itself. From new tool manufacture to ongoing maintenance and repair, internal tooling capability helps us respond faster and support production better.

01

New mould manufacture

We support the development of new moulds for parts entering production. That includes practical reviews around manufacturability, cavity strategy, serviceability, and how the tool will perform once it moves from launch to repeat production.

02

Maintenance and repairs

Tools do not remain productive by accident. Wear, handling damage, flashing, cooling problems, and ejection issues all reduce output if they are left unmanaged. Our toolroom supports planned maintenance as well as urgent repair work to reduce avoidable downtime.

03

Tool modifications and optimisation

When parts need revision, performance needs improvement, or production behaviour changes, tooling often needs to move with the program. We assist with mould modifications, part changes, and practical optimisation work to keep the tool commercially useful.

04

Why in-house tooling matters

Internal toolroom capability shortens communication loops. It makes it easier to diagnose issues properly, align decisions with the press environment, and act quickly when the mould needs attention. For customers, that usually translates into better accountability and fewer delays.

05

Tooling support for existing customers

If we currently manufacture your part, we can align toolroom activity with production planning, maintenance intervals, quality requirements, and dispatch commitments.
